Niagara Falls

Here we are, Mom and me, approaching Niagara Falls, at the Welland Canal.

The Lift Bridge is very interesting, it goes up to let ships pass under it. WOW!

Our 1st view of the Falls, cloudy, wet, rain..brrrrr... COLD!!!

See the top of the falls (100 meters). Here the water before it falls.

Isn't that fantastic? You can see the mist of the water rising up. Pretty!

Look at Daddy, making pose to get a great pic!

Now the American side of the falls. It's not as huge as at the Canadian side but it's also pretty!

Powerful Lights to light up the falls at night. They have different colors to turn the falls prettier.

Ah! the stores of souvenirs! They are fascinating! Look at the size of this bear! But don't be afraid, it's not real.... hahaha

Mom liked the Indian in the Souvenir Shop. They hold hands!!!

Here we came to see the Control dam above the falls where they get energy.

We stop walking a bit when we found this nice place to rest.

These Big Gates control the water to generators. They can close them when there is too much water.

Mom went on the Cable Car with Dad. I stayed in the car waiting for them.

A view from the Cable Car over Niagara River.

I hope you like because Niagara Falls was the most beautiful experience I ever had!

Close to Brasil at Point Pelee

One very cold day in Autumn 2004 I got all dressed up in my new Canadian Coat!

Mom was all dressed up in her new Canadian winter coat too.

We all went to Windsor, Ont and visited one of Daddy's friend. He took us all to Point Pelee!

We are on the boardwalk across the marsh. That is Arnold with mom and me.

We took a train ride down to the museum and the Point. That was wonderful.

Here we are at the Point.

This is the furthest south point in Canada. We are very close to Brasil here. This sign says we are at 42° N Latitude.

Here are Mommy and I as close to Brasil as we can get and still be in Canada. We are even as far south as Northern California. WOW!

We went back to Arnold's house where he had reserved this comfy chair just for me.

Here we all are; Arnold, Mommy and Daddy with me.

Our next adventure was Niagara!!!!

Across the Sea on a Big Ship

I took Mom and Dad down to the Ferry Docks at the waterfront to catch a big ship to go across the sea to the Islands.

We waited for the ship to depart.

This was a very big ship.

Here is where the Captain of the ship steers the ship.

We head out on the ocean and you can see the CN Tower back in the city.

If you look close you can see the Hot Air Balloon we rode in.

We arrived at he island after a long, lovely sea voyage.

They have a statue there of a famous rowing guy named Ned Hanlan.

Here I am up in a tree looking at the sights.

We came to the sea shore. That is me in the distance far in front of mom.

Here I am gathering shells for my collection.

Here are some of the shells I got at the Islands. I also brought
some sand to Brasil !

Here I am with Mom on another beach.

Mom stops to take a picture.

Wow! Another beach. This is fun!

This beach is so big it stretches almost back to Brasil.

Mom and I had to stop and have a rest. That was a lot of walking we did.

We walked in land to a lovely park.

We found a very long boardwalk on Ward's Island.

Then we walked over the river on this bridge.

I am off exploring more.

Mom and I resting on a log.

From this quiet place we can see all the way back to Toronto, far, far over the sea!

Here comes our big ship to take us back to Toronto after a wonderful day of exploring the islands.

We had a lot of fun exploring the beaches and parks on the islands.
